Description
Description
The revised Scott Scale 970 is a great choice for ambitious mountain bikers.
Attack the single tracks
With the Scott Scale 970 with its air suspension fork and excellent SRAM drivetrain you are all ready for the local trails.
If you're excited to start mountain biking on a quality MTB to grow with, come see us about the newest Scott Scale 970.
The core of the Scott Scale 970 is the lightweight aluminium frame with modern geometry. This ensures excellent handling characteristics. Scott has chosen to mount a RockShox Judy Air front fork, which handles uneven surfaces smoothly. In addition, the fork has a lockout, which allows you to turn off the suspension travel while riding. This allows you to ride as efficiently as possible to waste less energy.
SRAM Shifting
Shifting on this bike is accomplished using the SRAM NX/SX gear group. This group shifts neatly and is very reliable. The mountain bike comes with 12 gears and a large 11-50 cassette, this gives you a large gear range. The large range allows you to show your skills on steeper hills. In the descents you can rely on Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. These brakes deliver a lot of braking power and are easy to dose. Should you ride in less than optimal conditions, you can rely on the Scott Scale 970's excellent braking performance to get you home safe and sound.
The tyres The Scott scale 970 enjoys use of Maxxis Rekon Race tyres. These tyres are an ideal mix between low rolling resistance and sufficient grip. However, you have to watch out for the real mud trails, you might lack some grip at a crucial moment.

Very nice MTB that you can handle just fine on all Dutch routes!
- Arjen 2 February 2024
Sleek MTB that steers well and is well equipped for Dutch MTB routes. Equipment is fine. SRAM shifts properly for the price category and is a very nice bike for people whose main sport is not mountain biking but who do regularly hit the trails.
Pros & Cons
Good MTB for people with some experience
SRAM NX Eagle meets expectations
